Effective Date: October 15, 2026. This Policy applies to the Website, to the Licensing Service, and to the purchase, delivery, and licensing of the Software.
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes the Personal Information that Arcantus Sound Technologies LLC ("Arcantus", "we", or "us") collects in connection with the Website, the Licensing Service, and the purchase and licensing of the Software; the purposes for which that information is used and the legal bases for that use; the parties to which it is disclosed; the period for which it is retained; and the rights available to you in respect of it.
The operation of the Software on your computer, including the data the Software stores there and each case in which it contacts a server, is described in section 12 of the EULA. This Policy does not restate that section. Section 3.3 of this Policy describes the information that the Licensing Service retains from those requests.

2. Scope of this Policy
2.1 This Policy applies to Personal Information collected through the Website, through the Licensing Service, and in the course of the purchase, delivery, activation, and support of the Software.
2.2 Neither the Website nor the Software provides user accounts. Arcantus does not maintain a login, a password, or a profile for you. Personal Information held by Arcantus is associated with an email address that you have provided or with a License Key.
2.3 The purchase transaction is conducted with the Merchant of Record on pages operated by Stripe, under Stripe's own privacy policy, as described in section 11.
2.4 The Website and the Software are not directed to children under 16, and Arcantus does not knowingly collect Personal Information from them.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information you provide.
(a) Early access form. When you request early access through the Website, you provide your name and your email address.
(b) Download form. When you request the Software's installers through the Website, you provide your email address and, if you choose, your name. The Licensing Service records that address and any name you provide, together with the dates and times of your first and most recent requests, the number of requests made, and the result of a check of whether the domain of the address is configured to receive mail.
(c) Machine release form. When you request the release of a Computer through the Website, you provide either your License Key or the email address used for your purchase. That information is transmitted in the body of the request and is used solely to locate the corresponding License. It is not retained, other than in the form described in section 3.4(b).
(d) Correspondence. When you write to Arcantus, Arcantus receives your email address and the contents of your message.
3.2 Information collected when you purchase a License.
(a) The purchase is conducted with the Merchant of Record on pages operated by Stripe. Your name, email address, billing address, payment details, and the taxes applicable to the purchase are collected and held by Stripe. Stripe issues your receipt.
(b) On completion of a purchase, Stripe transmits to the Licensing Service the email address provided at checkout and the identifiers of the checkout session and of the payment. Arcantus does not receive your payment card details. Stripe also makes order details available to Arcantus through its Stripe account, which may include your name, billing address and country, and the amount, currency, and tax of your purchase. Arcantus uses those details only to provide support, to handle refunds and disputes, and to keep its business records.
(c) The Licensing Service creates a License record containing your email address, the License Key, the signed license, the entitlement granted, the date and time of issue, and the identifiers described in section 3.2(b). If the License is revoked following a refund or chargeback under section 9 of the EULA, or for a breach under section 18.2 of the EULA, the record retains the date and the reason of the revocation, and a later purchase made with the same email address following a chargeback is so annotated.
3.3 Information collected when the Software contacts the Licensing Service.
(a) Section 12 of the EULA describes each request that the Software makes and the information that each request carries. When a License Key is activated, when the Software is signed out, and on each launch of a Licensed Copy, the Software transmits to the Licensing Service the License Key and a random identifier generated on the Computer the first time the Software was run, and activation and the launch check also transmit the version of the Software and the operating system family.
(b) For each Computer activated on a License, the Licensing Service retains that random identifier, the operating system family, the version of the Software, and the dates and times of activation, of the most recent check, and of release. The Licensing Service does not retain a computer name, a hardware identifier, or an IP address.
(c) The update descriptions and model files described in section 12.3(a) of the EULA are served from the Arcantus download server described in that section. Those requests carry no License Key and are not associated with you or with your License.
3.4 Technical information collected through the Website.
(a) Hosting. The Website consists of static pages served by Netlify through Cloudflare's network. As with any website, the servers that deliver a page receive your IP address, the address of the page requested, and the time of the request. Netlify and Cloudflare maintain their own server logs under their own policies. Arcantus does not maintain a log of visits to the Website.
(b) Abuse prevention. The Licensing Service retains limited technical information, such as a hashed form of the email address or License Key submitted with a request, used to prevent abuse of its download and machine release functions. That information is held in hashed form and is deleted automatically after 30 days.
(c) Analytics. The Website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records page views, including the address of each page viewed, without the use of cookies. That information is held by Cloudflare under its own retention practices and is available to Arcantus in aggregate form. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not loaded on the page that displays your License Key following checkout or on the machine release page served by the Licensing Service.
(d) Cookies. Arcantus does not set cookies on the Website.
4. How We Use Information
4.1 Arcantus uses Personal Information for the following purposes:
(a) to deliver what you request through the Website: the Software's installers and getting-started guides, your License Key, a further copy of your License Key on request, and machine release links;
(b) to issue, activate, release, and, where section 9 or 18.2 of the EULA applies, revoke Licenses, and to count the Computers activated on a License under section 6.3 of the EULA;
(c) to contact you about early access to the Software, where you have requested it;
(d) to send the product update communications described in section 5.2;
(e) to respond to your correspondence and to provide support, including locating your purchase with Stripe;
(f) to prevent abuse of the Licensing Service;
(g) to understand, in aggregate, how the Website is used; and
(h) to give you notices under the EULA and under section 12.1.
4.2 Legal bases. Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, Arcantus relies on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract with you, or steps you ask for before entering into one, for the purposes in sections 4.1(a), (b), (e), and (h); (b) your consent, for the purposes in section 4.1(c) and, where the law requires consent, section 4.1(d); (c) Arcantus's legitimate interests in preventing abuse and fraud, in keeping records of Licenses, refunds, and chargebacks, in telling its customers about the Software, and in understanding how the Website is used, for the purposes in sections 4.1(b), (d), (f), and (g); and (d) compliance with its legal obligations. Where Arcantus relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.
4.3 Providing your email address is necessary to receive the Software's installers or a License. You are not otherwise required to provide Personal Information. Arcantus does not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Communications
5.1 Transactional communications. Arcantus sends email in connection with your requests and purchases: the installer links and getting-started guides requested through the download form; the License Key, download links, and getting-started guides following a purchase; a further copy of the License Key on request; and machine release links. These communications are sent through Resend. A machine release link is sent only to the email address associated with the purchase, is valid for a single use, and expires 60 minutes after it is issued. Arcantus also sends, by email, notices under the EULA and the notices of change described in section 12.1.
5.2 Product update communications. Arcantus may occasionally send communications about the Software, such as notice of a new release, to each email address provided through the early access form, through the download form where you agreed to receive them, or with a purchase where you agreed to receive them when you made it. Each such communication shall include a means of unsubscribing, and you may unsubscribe at any time under section 9.2.
5.3 Correspondence. Where you write to Arcantus, Arcantus retains the correspondence for the purpose of responding to you.
6. Disclosure of Information
6.1 Service Providers. Arcantus discloses Personal Information to the following Service Providers, each of which processes it only as required to provide its service to Arcantus:
(a) Netlify, which hosts the Website and stores submissions to the early access form;
(b) Cloudflare, which provides the network through which the Website is served, the analytics described in section 3.4(c), the infrastructure and database of the Licensing Service, and the distribution of the Software's installers, updates, and model files;
(c) Resend, which delivers the email described in section 5; and
(d) Google Workspace, which hosts the mailbox through which Arcantus receives and answers correspondence.
6.2 Stripe. Stripe, and Sold through Link, LLC as Merchant of Record, conduct the purchase transaction, including payment, tax, receipts, refunds, and disputes. Stripe does so on its own behalf, as a separate controller of the Personal Information it collects, under its own privacy policy, as described in section 11. Arcantus provides Stripe with information about a purchase where needed to handle a refund, a dispute, or a support request.
6.3 Legal requirements. Arcantus may disclose Personal Information where required to do so by applicable law, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, including payment disputes.
6.4 Business transfers. If Arcantus is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of its business or of the Software, Personal Information may be transferred to the successor or acquiring entity, which will remain bound by this Policy in respect of that information.
6.5 No sale or rental. Arcantus does not sell or rent Personal Information and does not disclose it to any person other than as described in this section.
7. International Processing
7.1 Arcantus is located in the United States. Personal Information is held in the United States by Arcantus and by the Service Providers, which may also process it in the other jurisdictions in which they operate. The data protection laws of the United States may differ from those of the place where you live. Arcantus has data processing terms in place with each Service Provider that include the safeguards required by the GDPR for any transfer of Personal Information.
8. Data Retention
8.1 Arcantus retains a License record under section 3.2(c), and the records under section 3.3(b) of the Computers on which it has been activated, indefinitely, including after the License has been revoked, because the Licensing Service answers whether a License Key is valid or has been revoked from the License record; where you request deletion under section 9.1, the email address is removed from the License record and the records are otherwise retained, as described in that section. Arcantus retains the other records described in section 3 for no longer than 24 months after your most recent request, purchase, or correspondence, and deletes them earlier if you request their deletion under section 9.1, unless it must keep them to meet a legal obligation or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
8.2 The following are deleted automatically: machine release links and the sessions they open, which expire under section 5.1; and the technical information described in section 3.4(b).
8.3 The Service Providers retain the Personal Information they hold under their own retention practices, which Arcantus does not control.
9. Your Rights and Choices
9.1 Deletion. You may request the deletion of your email address and the records associated with it by writing to hello at arcantus.io from the address concerned or with the details of your purchase. Arcantus shall delete the address from the records it holds under section 3. Where a License is associated with the address, the License record is retained without the address, so that the License continues to operate and remains capable of revocation under section 9 or 18.2 of the EULA; after such deletion Arcantus is unable to send a further copy of the License Key or a machine release link to that address. Personal Information held by the Service Providers is subject to their own policies, and purchase records held by Stripe are managed under section 11.
9.2 Unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe from product update communications at any time by using the means provided in each such communication or by writing to hello at arcantus.io. Transactional communications under section 5.1 are not affected.
9.3 Access. You may request a copy of the Personal Information that Arcantus holds in association with your email address by writing to hello at arcantus.io.
9.4 Additional rights. Depending on where you live, including in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states, you may also have the right to have inaccurate Personal Information corrected, to restrict or object to its processing (including the right to object at any time to its use for marketing), to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello at arcantus.io. Arcantus will respond within one month and may ask you to confirm that you control the email address concerned. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live.
10. Security
10.1 Arcantus maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the Personal Information it holds. The records described in section 3 are held in the database of the Licensing Service and in the systems of the Service Providers. Access to the database of the Licensing Service is limited to the Licensing Service itself and to the personnel of Arcantus who operate it, by means of credentials maintained for that purpose.
10.2 License Keys and machine release links are delivered by email. The confidentiality of email delivered to you depends on the security of the mailbox that receives it.
11. Third-Party Services
11.1 Licenses are sold through Stripe, with Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe, Inc., as Merchant of Record, under section 8 of the EULA. The checkout pages on which a purchase is made are operated by Stripe, and the Personal Information collected on them is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
11.2 Questions concerning a purchase, a receipt, or a refund, and requests concerning the Personal Information held by Stripe in connection with a purchase, are handled by Stripe's support for purchases made through Link, under section 8.2 of the EULA. A refund may also be requested from Arcantus under section 9 of the EULA.
12. Changes to this Policy
12.1 Arcantus may change this Policy. Any changed version shall be published at this address with a new Effective Date, and the version in force is the version so published. If a change materially affects how Arcantus uses Personal Information it already holds, Arcantus will notify you by email before the change takes effect.
13. Contact Information
13.1 Questions and requests concerning this Policy may be sent to hello at arcantus.io.
